My ageing desktop

The stupid Samsung LCD monitor which I bought 2 years ago decided to die on me this past Saturday. I’ve just checked the monitor and the sticker on it tells me that it was manufactured in August 2007 in Seremban. 2 years and 2 months for the capacitors or whatever component to die on me. Fulat!

Here’s a screen cap of the normal MS games that came with Windows 7 RC. Look at my system score – just spending a RM 400 card (the old one died sometime early this year) gave my system a drastic improvement in the scores.

Another reason not to like OSX Leopard

No cut and paste in the Finder.

Is Apple really making their OS for stupid people now? It seems that the reason for disabled "Cut" in the Finder is because sometimes people use that command and see their files missing, forgetting that they had used the command in the first place. DOH!

Nice game!

I’ve just finished playing Gameloft’s excellent Diabloesque game for the iPhone/iPod Touch – Dungeon Hunter – as a mage, and it was lots of fun! Another Gameloft game that I had fun with was Blades of Fury – a Soulcalibur inspired type of fighting game.

It’s interesting that a traditional mobile game developer such as Gameloft developing high quality games for smart phones – it’ll be more interesting to see what games would come up for Android phones in the near future, and if these games will be platform exclusives.

Sorry if I sound repetitive or don’t make much sense, the meds must be taking it’s effects on me (bad sore throat, previous antibiotics didn’t work, so now on a different one)

I gotta pick up the Surrogates trade paperback as reviews mentioned that the comic was much better and that the source material did not translate well into the final movie. And who besides me think that the official poster in Malaysia sucks compared to the US version?

I bid adieu to my Friendster and Multiply social networking accounts, and also to my Yahoo! email account which I hardly use.

It's now Facebook, Gmail and Hotmail for me. No point of being everywhere.

21MP glory!

I now get to play with 1Ds MKIII and 5D MKII. 21 megapixels. WOW!

It would seem that I have to get a new processor soon as my 2 year old desktop struggled a bit with the 21MP RAW and jpeg files. Quad core with 8GB ram and 64-bit OS? :)

Evie has updated her FB photo album with some pictures I took recently. Since that is done, I am now working on Jessica's pictures. A few nice ones there - but that's just my opinion. :)
